The Halco 8009 bulb is equipped with a heavy-duty 130 volt filament, allowing it to last longer when operated at 120 volts.

A good, basic 3-way incandescent bulb. Note that the 130 volt rating puts this in the 'derated' class on most 120 volt circuits. This means the light output is less than a comparable wattage 120 volt bulb and the light appears more 'brownish'. The upshot is that the bulb will last much longer than a comparably-rated 120v bulb.
