When used with a lamp equipped with a 3-way switch, 3-way light bulbs give the option of three different light levels for different applications requiring different amounts of light. The Halco 8010 bulb is equipped with a heavy-duty 130 volt filament, allowing it to last longer when operated at 120 volts.

The combination of long life and low price is hard to beat. Halco products have a level of quality not found in most brands, and yet the price is lower than competitors. It's hard to argue with that combination!

A good, basic incandescent bulb. Note that the 130 volt rating puts this in the 'derated' class on most 120 volt circuits. This means that the light output is somewhat less than a comparably-rated 120 volt bulb and that the light appears more 'brownish'. The upshot is that the bulb will last much longer on a 120 volt circuit than a comparably-rated 120 volt bulb.
