This fixture is great for closets, pantry's etc that are not hard wired for light fixtures. A couple of minor downsides are that it could be a bit brighter and that the batteries dont last too long, but despite these issues, this is a useful product.

I had been researching products that would allow me to keep our office hallway lights off for much of the time but would quickly illuminate the vestibule upon entry. I didn't want a bright light but wanted to be sure that it would be more than just adequate. I was also looking for a unit that would allow the batteries to last a long time. I bought two of these and the second one I installed outside in the covered entryway. They have performed even better than I had hoped.

After trying other battery operated lights, this one is hands down the best. Lights up my closet, turns on when I open the door, and shuts off 30 seconds after I'm done. Simple and amazing.
