I used these items on an outdoor 12 volt low voltage 3 lamp halogen outdoor light post where the original sockets deteriorated.
The lamp post is obsolete so no parts could be ordered from mfg.
These fit perfect.
The hardest part was taking the lamp post upper portion apart to re wire through the lamp arms.
