BRK 9120B - Smoke Detector
Dual Ionization Sensor - Detects Flaming Fires - 120V Wire-in with Battery Backup - Interconnectable
The BRK 9120B dual ionization smoke detector features a dual ionization sensing chamber, which enables it to detect the small particles produced by fast, flaming fires. A single button both silences false alarms and allows the user to test the alarm with ease. The smoke detector also has two power sources: 120 volt for hard wiring and a 9 volt battery backup for peace of mind during power outages. Listed to UL 217 standards, the alarm operates at temperatures from 40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and in humidity up to 90% and has an 85-decibel alarm.

I bought these to replace old Firex detectors that I installed during construction in 2002. Your detectors need to be replaced at least every 10 years. These are a great choice.

I purchased three of these to replace the old BRK 4120B detectors in my upstairs hallway and sleeping rooms. If you are doing the same, you will have to take down the old mounting bracket, as the 9120B will not fit, however it's as easy as loosening two screws and rotating the old bracket out, and putting the new one on. The wiring harness is the same, so they are literally plug-and-play.
I haven't been able to find these locally at the low price that 1000bulbs sells them for, so I will purchase another three soon, thus completing my home's smoke alarm updates.

This unit easily changes out from the old style dectors and come with a battery installed and ready to go. If your unit is still beeping after you install a new battery, just trade it out with one of these and you'll find peace.

I replaced a similar product in my house with this unit. I was happy to see that the MFG. used the same adapter to the wiring in the house. It was an easy snap out the old and snap in the new. I have ordered many times from 1000bulbs and never had a problem.
