I use these for my yard lighting. They give just enough light to see up steps, paths, etc.
They run around $3 at Lowes and Home Depot. I think I paid around 68 cents each.

I use these bulbs in all my outdoor lighting requirements. Because they are small they are very energy efficient yet provide the necessary lighting. Best of all they seem to last forever, not really but almost.

Needed a low-wattage bulb for small fish tanks, as the manufacturer's bulbs were too warm, promoting algae.

This bulb is OK other than it seems to have an unexpectedly short life. When I weigh the cost vs life span it is no bargain.
