T12 ballasts are a dying breed, and multi-volt versions like this one are practically non-existent. Because it's a rapid start ballast, it takes a little while to get the lamps going, but that puts less stress on the lamps. That means these work great for frequently switched applications. Combine those features with Advance's 5-year warranty, and you've got a real winner!

I purchased (6) ballast to replace existing failed ballasts. My first disappointment was the hesitation in the lamps turning on when applying power, there is about a 2 to 3 second count before this lights turn on. I installed 4 of the 6 before one of them failed within the 1st 30 days. Phillips did send me a free replacement. I have had 2 more of these fail and it's been less than 3 months. Stay away from this product.
