These bulbs are very expensive, they over heat, and they only last 1/4 as long as they are advertised. I'm have procrastinated changing out my numerous light fixtures for 7 years now hoping there would be an alternative longer lasting buld to fit as I like the fixtures. The heat and the cost might be worth if the bulbs actually had a burn life as advertised by the maker. I don't know an alternative manufacter or I'd try myself. CHANGE LIGHT FIXTURES while you are ahead!!!!

These lights are the only ones that work for my current track lighting fixtures, so I'm stuck buying them for now. They are too expensive and have a shorter than advertised life span. Avoid these bulbs if you can.
