My plants just LOVE these bulbs. They use them just as they would the sun's rays. I actually did an experiment with a regular bulb and one of these and the seedlings leaned towards these bulbs!!! The price is excellent too!! I would definitely recommend these for seedlings and houseplants!!

I bought this product thinking that it would be brighter that the 65w sylvania that I'm using. The two lamps that I ordered arrived yesterday, April 3, I swapped lamps with the sylvania, not even 5 minutes the new lamp smoked. So I thought that it might just be defective, I installed the second lamp and voila it worked and althought it took a long time to get to full brightness, it stayed on till I turned it off (same night April 3, on for maybe 8 hours). The next morning I turned it on and it smoked after a few minutes, now what are the odds of having 2 defective lamps in a row. I reinstalled the sylvania lamp. I read the reviews before placing the order because they are all positive. I hope this will help consumer in the future.

I purchased two of these bulbs for my grow room and they are great for the plants. Very bright and the cost is very reasonable. Could not find comparable bulbs anywhere else. Will purchase more.

I have been diagnosed with early cataracts so I have difficulty seeing, especially in low light. I bought these bulbs and found them to be a superb product that casts a daylight quality light that makes it so much easier for me to see. Customer service was a pleasure with which to deal. They are very knowledgeable and customer friendly. They actually listened to me describe what my lighting problems were before making a recommendation. People who listen are very rare in today's world.

One of these will brightly illuminate a single room. The light is similar in quality to daylight. One of the three lights that I ordered emanated a barely audible hum. The lights are well constructed with quality materials and don't put out a huge amount of heat when the wattage consumed is put into consideration.

I never wanted to switch to the average Curly-Cue energy savers. The equivalent light exchange was never accurate in my opinion, and light quality suffered.
I was using full spectrum bulbs, or halogens and wanted to maintain the bright light effect.
1000 bulbs specializes in lighting it seems to me, and has
full spectrum educational material which demonstrated how
OFF you could be thinking you were buying true full spectrum.
The Sunshine 05531 gives off a very different light than even
the full spectrum bulbs I had been buying elsewhere.
My house is full of daylight now, and I can switch to these Full Spectrum energy savers with no worries of less light, or less quality light.
Imagine burning 65 watts, but getting 300 equivalent
of pure daylight throughout your house.
Very Happy.
(1000 Bulbs: OK to change wording around, or refer more technically to this bulb than I generally have.]

Bulb is big but really does light up a room. Does not give off much heat, and feels like you need sunglasses to look into.
