Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by A tremendous upgrade over halogen We have 7 ceiling fixtures in our kitchen area. We initially were going to replace a grouping of 4 and do the other 3 later. The new LED bulbs put out such a brilliant pure white light that the remaining 3 halogens looked yellow in comparison. We went ahead and completely changed out all 7. Brighter, much cooler, longer lasting and a better light. March 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by First LED purchase working out nicely Still too early to comment on a lot, but initially, I am very happy with the purchase. The light quality seems better than the non-led ones I had been using. If it lasts as long as it claims, it will have been well worth it. April 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far this bulb greatly exceeds my hopes. Check back on durability in 20 years. I have been waiting for an efficient dimmable lamp for my churches difficult to access chandeliers. This appears to be it. Unlike CFL's the light is directional, putting much more light on the objective 23 ft away. The color is excellent. The dimming is smooth and works in our ancient autotransformer dimmers, something that few CFL's work with at all. The only downside is that the light emmanates from a very small spot, making them annoyingly bright if looked directly at, much like a high wattage halogen Par--illuminate from well above the horizontal. They are also somewhat heavy. February 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by High quality feel, nice light I just installed two of them to replace 75W halogen bulbs. The LED bulbs feel really high quality, their back is made of white ceramic and overall they are about 3x heavier than the halogen ones. The light is nice, maybe a tad colder than the halogen ones but almost not noticeable. They also seem to be almost as bright as the 75W bulbs. I calculated that it will take me 3 years of usage to break even at the current electricity prices, i hope they last that long (TCP claims they`ll last 10y at my usage). I cant say anything on dimming, since i dont have a dimmer installed. February 11, 2012
