Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bulb for the price, but very white First, I want to say this bulb was great for my application (a workbench in my garage), but it is truly "stark" white. Others who like a warmer tone may want to try the warm white version. Now, about the bulb. It works great! It doesn't require warm-up time, works with my Lutron dimmer, and I know it's saving TONS of money. On top of that, it's the least expensive LED bulb I could find that matched my specs. I had never heard of Kobi before, but I can say now that they're a great value. January 4, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great light - once it is on Very good bulb, crisp light but there is a noticeable delay once you turn on the switch. So much that the first time I though I had bad bulbs and turned it off before they come on. After a few weeks almost used to the delay but still a little bothersome. May 7, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Will collect bugs if used outside. I have 8 of these lights in a covered area outside. After several weeks I noticed the lights looking dimmer and after taking them down the fins are open where the plastic lens is attached. Man, the bugs are attracted to the leds inside where they die and fall inside the bulb and the plastic lens collects them. Useless, useless, useless. If you are going to use leds outside make sure they are sealed. October 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Price for LED with 5000K Ordered these for my new Kitchen and Family Room and love the instant On as well as the dimming capabilities of this bulb. Plus this bulb really does give 5000K which is the kind of light I wanted. Most other LED's in stores were pricey and only offered the warm white option. Highly recommend this and also 1000bulbs for quick and smooth shipping. October 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick starting and produces daylight. The bulbs are quick starting, which is the main reason I bought them. There is no warm up period. They reach maximum brightness in one second or less. I also like daylight, and 5000K seems like daylight. June 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Over-all good, as advertised. No harsh shadows but, seriously bright lights, once installed you will now notice the dust you missed, and the walls somehow need a fresh coat of paint. not exactly "dimmable" I installed the recommended dimmer and have found the range level is limited and they will flicker mid-range. Rated 5 out of 5 by I love the brightness and low electrical usage. This bulb easily replaced my R30 60 watt spots with a better brighter light. And the long lasting bulb and low wattage usage is a great plus. Makes the purchase worth every penny. I will buy more. April 29, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Finally, an LED made for can light fixtures After going through incandescent R30 bulbs quite often due to them getting hot and burning up in the can fixtures, I moved to CFLs about 2 years ago, and they do fine for lighting, but it doesn't look very good. I bought 2 of these to put in our living room, and they light very well and look very good in the can fixtures. The light is more 'solid' than CFLs, and are instant on. I also like that they don't heat up the house during the summer. I have my entire house at 5000K for lights because I found that 2700K made me tired during the winter and they cast a yellowish hue on everything. If you prefer 2700K, make sure you choose the warm white version, because there's a huge difference between 2700K and 5000K. April 29, 2012
