Having replaced many Philips, GE, and Sylvania bulbs in my life, I've been the most impressed by the Sylvania line of fluorescent tubes. We use the 3500k and 3000k and 4100k colors in many of our buildings and in almost all cases, the Sylvania tubes tend to have several thousand more hours of life on them before going end of life as compared to GE and Philips. I strongly advise you let the new tubes burn in (leave on without turning out) for at least 24 hours, a minimum of 1 hour. This goes for all the brands. You will notice all the new tubes (regardless of brand) will be very dim when first installed and take up to 5 minutes (depending on ambient temperature) to reach full light output, and then after having been used a bit, they may be a bit dim when turning on after being off for awhile (cold) This is perfectly normal for all tubes now a days due to the reduced mercury content required for EPA reasons inside the tubes. Nothing to be too concerned about.

I have used 1000 bulbs.com for the last five years and have good success in getting products I needed and in a timely fashion. The bulbs life span is better than we anticipated and are very please with the product.
