COMPACT METALARC lamps are available in smaller outer jacket sizes to operate in a reduced fixture profile and to increase system efficiency. The reduced bulb diameter allows the fixture designer to locate the lamp arc tube closer to the reflector, thereby increasing fixture efficiency. Please note that metal halide lamps cannot be operated without a ballast.

For the price this is a great value. It is much more expensive at other places and I cannot find any flaws or decreased life. I have been buying all of my bulbs from 1000bulbs.com for the past two years or so. They are fast and very cost effective.

These are replacement bulbs for parking lot lighting. The bulb is what was originally installed and have had great longevity. The price I found was excellent.
