Rated 4 out of 5 by SteveA Great bulb, cost effective, but doesn't dim like an incandescent
This is my 4th trial LED replacement bulb for my 30+ recessed and/or track light cans that use 65W BR30 bulbs. At full brightness, this LED bulb and the quality of its light are indistinguishable from an incandescent except for being somewhat brighter. If I dim the LED a bit, I can't tell them apart. CRI 85 is significantly better than CRI 80.
When I further dim this LED bulb, its color does not become warmer like an incandescent. It is dim, but white. Not quite what I want in a bedroom or in a candle lit dining room.
Considering the cost of bulb plus electricity over its lifetime, this LED bulb burns 4 hours per penny whereas a 65W incandescent yields only 1 hour per penny. You are actually money ahead if you replace your incandescents now without waiting for them to burn out. Reduce global warming too!
I plan to replace only half my 30+ bulbs now. My bet is that, if I save my incandescents for the dining room and bedrooms, a better LED bulb that warms as it dims will become available in a year or so.

love the color rendering & brightness and the diffuser makes it look like a traditional bulb when side-by-side. It's the best of 5 or so that we have tried.
Full disclosure: the spouse works a different division of Toshiba (but I'm serious, these are great!).
