These bulbs are fabulous. They are at least as bright as the halogens they are replacing, and give perfect light, smooth and even white illumination, more pleasant when dimmed than the halogens gave. And that for less than a fifth of the energy I was formerly using. With an estimated life span of over 45 years at three hours per day, I am not likely to have to think about replacing them.
I ordered these because my local store only had 25° spots that fit my ceiling cans, and I really wanted floods. But they are so much better in other ways than the units I returned that I am thrilled.
