I put a hanging coach light type fixture on the front porch and wanted something with some atmosphere- not just any old light. These bulbs are PERFCT. Not a bright, glaring light but a soft almost gas light effect which blends in with the wrought iron and ferns to make my very own Old New Orleans balcony right here in Texas. They are just what I needed, they don't draw bugs, they are not too bright and they look very classy. I LOVE them!

The light output is about the same a 7 watt night light bulb. Filament is very fragile, slight bump and it blows out. However they do look cool

Bought three of these for a small decorative antique lamp in the foyer that was made for use without lamp shades. The bulbs while not bright to read by, are excellent to lighting up the room but without glare. I would definitely buy this bulb again.

Works great as a bug light outdoors and much more attractive than standard bright yellow. Wish it was available as med. base for my other outdoor fixtures. May order more and use with an adapter.
