HighMax lamps are designed to manage heat so that lumen maintenance is maximized. Critical components (susceptible to heat failure) are chosen for their high heat tolerance. The body of the lamp is vented with patented air gaps to increase cooling air flow. HighMax lamps also include a thick aluminum heat sink between heat producing components to remove even more heat from the lamp. Ideal uses include high and low bays, gymnasiums, warehouses, churches, wall packs, shop floors, and parking garages.
NOTE: Suitable for ambient environments up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit; 200 Watt HighMax for open fixtures only

This light bulb seems to be good so far, but the fan on it blew out a couple weeks after I started using the light.
It's not really a problem because there is little heat to begin with. I'd like to be able to get this light without the fan and maybe a little cheaper, if not paying for a useless fan.
But this retailer ships well. Prior to this order I had been shipped 3 CFL bulbs, and every one of them arrived busted and all had to be sent back. This was the very first that arrived undamaged... I am grateful for that.

The 200 watt bulb replaces a 400 watt HID bulb without the heat the HID produces
