This is a very pretty and decorative bulb. The shape of the bulb, with its many little points and protrusions, contributes to the sparkly quality with an effect that's like an icicle lit from behind. I would recommend this bulb without reservation for its prettiness and decorative qualities. On the minus side, the bulb seems to have a very short life, and did not last anywhere near the promised 1,000 hours - more like about half that long. However, the bulb isn't particularly expensive and has a very pretty effect, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
