Smoke Alarm - Activates Auxiliary Warning Devices - For Use with Kidde Smoke Alarms
The Kidde SM120X auxiliary relay module can be used to activate auxiliary warning devices such as external bells and sirens, hallway or stairway lighting. This relay will only activate these auxiliary devices when it receives a smoke signal from an interconnected smoke alarm. Using this auxiliary relay module will ensure your family's safety the instant danger is detected.

I was getting ready to build my own circuit to connect my Hardwired Kidde smoke detectors to my wireless remote alarm system.
This board detects the 9vdc signal on the red leg of the interconnect wiring without loading down the detectors and produces either a Normally Closed or Normally Open output.
I used that output to activate a wireless door switch that had an aux input for a normally closed condition. Worked great.
I was able to fit the circuit card inside the 3.5" round light fixture box that supports the Smoke detector.

I hooked it up to my House alarm system. it was easy to install. It has normally open and normally closed contacts. It also has easy to understand wire schematics. Now I have all 5 of my smoke detectors hooked up my alarm system, instead of just one alarm smoke detector.
