Rated 5 out of 5 by First LED lamp that works. We use a LOT of lighting for our products. We want them to look great. So we need not just quantity of light, but also quality light. Compact flourescents never had a quality light. We had been using Metal Halide for tremendous light output at reduced cost, while also providing great quality. They need a ballast, and run VERY hot. They also take a couple minutes to come up to full brightness, and may not restart if the power flickers (requring cool down first). We have been trying various LED lamps for a long time. Up until now, they have had terrible light output and/or poor light quality. I had one that claimed to be 75 watt equivalent, that was so yellow and so dim, it wouldn't light the inside of my refrigerator at midnight in a dark room. This bulb has been the FIRST LED bulb that has enough light output and light quality for us. Instant on, an dcool running are also big pluses. May 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent - Light-output and Potential for savings I ordered two as a trial to test in various locations. My wife quickly requested four for our kitchen - as good as a makeover - a few grand saved. April 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very good product with clear color rendition. Good value. Have wanted to use LED bulbs for general house lighting for some time. Have lots of recessed lighting fixtures so this was an excellent candidate to work with. The color (3000K) is excellent - clear and bright - fact is the only down-side to the lamp is the narrower beam compared to an incandescent or halogen bulb. But am extremely happy with the choice.
